Be a Friend

The Methow Music Festival Association is already at work putting the pieces in place for our best season yet – 28 July through 5 August 2005. We invite you to join us in our vision of building a world-class musical event in the beautiful Methow Valley.

"There was a magical quality to the concerts…The quality of the performances was also exceptionally high.”

-- Dan Chandler and Betty Braver, Trinidad, California

“ When asked if she had ever sung in a more humble performance hall (than Cassal Ranch Barn), mezzo soprano Katharine Goeldner, who has appeared in the Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, among others, turned towards the surrounding mountains, spread her arms out and replied, ‘You call THIS humble?’ ”

-- Salzburg, Austria, mezzo soprano Katharine Goeldner, from the Methow Valley News

The pieces are in place; the vision of the Artistic Director, an exceedingly capable Board of Directors, a talented and dedicated staff, the encouragement of the community, all of these come together to give the Festival the opportunity of reaching its potential. An investment in the Methow Music Festival Association is an investment in the cultural life of the Methow Valley. By providing single or multi-year gifts for general operating support and organizational development, you will be investing in an association that, in a very short period of time, has become an important part of the fabric of Methow community life.

As a Friend of the Festival, you can help us realize our vision. Your donations go directly towards covering expenses that let us improve the festival. We rely heavily on volunteers and spend very little on administration. And of course you have the satisfaction of knowing you’re supporting an event that brings the arts to all ages.

  • Here are some additional facts about the festival:

The festival is entering its tenth year, with increased attendance and revenue each year, and draws an audience from throughout the state and nation.
  • The festival is governed by a five-member board of directors and managed by an Executive Director and Administrative Coordinator, with artistic oversight by Artistic Director Lisa Bergman.
  • In early 1999, the festival was granted non-profit 501(c)3 tax status from the Internal Revenue Service.

Thanks for your support and enjoy the beautiful music!
