Society of Musicians

August 4, 2011

Our unique festival format promotes interaction between the musicians and the community in a variety of settings. The 2011 season featured scheduled activities including river rafting, boating, mountain-biking and hiking.

Sometimes, we discover hidden talents. Here's Eugenia Choi, our delicate and refined violinist, blasting away at the annual skeet shoot. (Yep, she got 'it).

Turns out, Mr. Krentz has a talent for shooting as well. Here he plays "back up," shooting his father's old twelve gauge. If Jing misses the shot, Kevin takes it on the second try.

Shooting skeet makes an exciting, high-energy mid-day break. Everyone had a great time. Jing Wang, concertmaster of the Dallas Opera, looks good in a cowboy hat.

Having fun during the festival week builds the society of musicians at the festival. We want the artists to feel relaxed, in control, and surrounded by people they know and like.
