Abbey Bennett
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Abbey Bennett became Executive Director of the Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival in July 2026, bringing a background in project management, operations, financial management, and organizational leadership. Before joining the Festival, she managed complex construction and development projects, building expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and guiding organizations through growth and change.
A Winthrop resident since 2019, Abbey also serves on the Winthrop Planning Commission. She is committed to strengthening the Festival's artistic excellence, long-term sustainability, and deep connection to the Methow Valley community as it builds on more than three decades of inspiring performances.

Kevin Krentz
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Kevin Krentz has served as Artistic Director of the Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival since 2007, shaping more than two decades of acclaimed programming and bringing many of the nation's leading chamber musicians to the Methow Valley. An award-winning cellist and educator, he is a winner of the 2000 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, teaches at Seattle University, and enjoys a diverse performing and recording career spanning concert stages, film, television, and video game soundtracks.
In addition to his performing career, Kevin is the founder of Krentz String Works, whose innovations for string instruments are used by musicians around the world. His artistic vision, collaborative spirit, and commitment to musical excellence continue to shape the Festival's distinctive character and reputation.
