ANNUAL FUNDRAISING DINNER

The Crescendo

An Evening for Chamber Music

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · 5:00–10:00 pm · Sun Mountain Lodge, Winthrop

One night. Eight cellos. The Festival’s future.

This year, The Crescendo comes to Sun Mountain Lodge for a special Saturday evening — friends gathered around the table, the Methow Valley as our backdrop, and an extraordinary performance by eight cellists, including six young musicians performing alongside Kevin Krentz and Haeyoon Shin.

It's a celebration of exceptional music, the connections it creates, and the next generation of musicians who will carry it forward.

THE MUSIC

Villa Lobos for eight cellos

Artistic Director Kevin Krentz and Haeyoon Shin Krentz are bringing six of their students to the Methow for a rare cello octet performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos's Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 — one of the great works written for eight cellos.

They'll also return to Peter Gregson's Bach Recomposed, first heard at our donor gathering in May — this time with the full force of eight cellos.

WHY THS MATTERS

What happens in this room shapes what happens on stage next June.

Your support brings exceptional musicians to the Methow Valley, keeps live chamber music within reach for our community, and gives young musicians the opportunity to perform, learn, and grow.

THE EVENING

Dinner

A fabulous meal at Sun Mountain Lodge, with the valley below and evening settling over the hills — a shared table, good food, a hosted bar, and time to linger together.

Auction

Silent and live auctions featuring one-of-a-kind Festival experiences — only available through MVCMF and the people who make it possible.

Paddle Raise

Your gift brings next summer’s music to life, nurtures young musicians, and connects our community.

And isn't that what it's all about?

Join us at the table.
