Last year’s dinner filled quickly, with a waiting list before the evening arrived. So this year, The Crescendo is growing into a larger space at Sun Mountain — a place with deep roots in the valley.
This year brings a Saturday night, a shared table, and eight cellos coming together for a performance made for this gathering — and for what comes next.
THE MUSIC
Villa Lobos for eight cellos
Artistic Director Kevin Krentz and Haeyoon Shin Krentz are bringing six of their students to the Methow for a rare cello octet performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos's Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 — one of the great works written for eight cellos.
They'll also return to Peter Gregson's Bach Recomposed, first heard at our donor gathering in May — this time with the full force of eight cellos.
